Faith in God, who He is and what He can accomplish through and in us, does not happen in a vacuum. It happens by memorizing, learning, repeating and applying what His Word says. That means that we have to know what His Word says and the only way to do so is to read it in the Bible. Are you believing God for something? Maybe it’s for provision. Maybe you want Him to provide good friends for you because you’re having a hard time making good friends at school or even at work. Tell Him what you need and repeat His Word back to Him. “Lord your Word says that you are my provider. Your word says that no good thing will You withhold from those who walk uprightly. Your Word says that you set the lonely in families. Please provide a family of good friends; godly friends, handpicked by you, for me!” He hears our fervent prayers, He knows our hearts. Cry out to Him, repeat His scriptures until they become a part of how you think and who you are and watch Him answer those  prayers!
